1. Complete PharmCAS Application
All applicants are required to complete the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS) application. For a complete application, follow PharmCAS instructions regarding submitting official transcripts and letters of recommendation. For full information, visit www.pharmcas.org.
2. Letters of Recommendation
Each applicant must provide two (2) letters of recommendation. PharmCAS sends a direct web link to your references. Letters from family, friends, clergy members will not be accepted. Think of professors, employers, volunteer supervisors, or health care professionals, preferably pharmacists. Select people who can evaluate your potential for academic success and a career in pharmacy.
3. Holistic Admissions Application Review
The College of Pharmacy engages in a holistic admissions process which means that every aspect of the applicant’s record is important. We evaluate three areas: academics, experiences, and attributes. We look for applicants who have good communication skills, leadership experience, problem solving skills, a demonstration of pharmacy knowledge, and a commitment to service to others. It is highly recommended (though not required) that applicants gain paid or unpaid pharmacy experience.
4. Complete OUHC Application (Invitation only)
The OU Health Campus requires a supplemental application. Those who are invited for an interview will receive instructions via email regarding how to access and submit the supplemental application. There is no fee for this application.
